After graduating with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University, Dr. Joy completed a 1-year internship in general canine and feline medicine and surgery at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, a specialty and emergency hospital in Tampa, Florida. 

Prior to joining Chewy, Dr. Joy worked with pet parents and there fur babies since 2013 as part of a general practice. 

Dr. Joy enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in internal medicine, anesthesia, emergency and critical care.
