Lauren Mick served in the United States Navy for five years, and found a passion for animals after her tenure as a Naval Interior Communication Electrician. She sensed a strong connection to nature and goodness when she was around animals and wanted to be close to it. Lauren soon got a job at a pet kennel, where she realized she wanted to work with animals for life, and decided to go to Veterinary Tech school. She received her license in Georgia, where she has worked at a few different hospitals. Her favorite externship took place in Pittsburgh at an animal shelter. She loved the journey of patience and kindness to earn animals' trust. She now works from home part-time.
Lauren is currently going to school for her BA at Unity College for Animal Health and Behavior and has a small pet care business on the side. She resides in Dawsonville, GA with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, Lauren loves spending time with family in nature with their pets, cooking good food, and letting her daughter enjoy the natural world.
