Dr. Abrams graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and Master of Public Health in 2012. Since then, she has enjoyed working as a shelter veterinarian, focusing on behavior and disease prevention in population medicine and has a special interest in care accessibility. During her time as a veterinarian, she has also discovered her passion for teaching and education and has taught numerous higher education classes, designed virtual curriculum and holds a certificate in higher education and leadership from Harvard University. Outside of work and the classroom, she loves spending time with her family, dogs, cats, chickens and off-the-track Standardbred horses.
