Dr. Gretchen Verheggen was born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate work in Nashville at Vanderbilt University and is a 2014 graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Since graduating, she has worked with a variety of animal species, including horses, dogs, and currently, cats only. She’s also pursuing postgraduate studies in acupuncture with the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies. Her special interests are integrative medicine, palliative care, and feline medicine.
Dr. Gretchen still resides in Pennsylvania with her menagerie of cats, rescue horses, and a small flock of Dominique laying hens. In her free time, she is an amateur gardener, novice songwriter, and aspiring polyglot.
