Patty Khuly
Patty Khuly VMD, MBA is a small animal veterinarian in Miami, Florida where she practices medicine at Sunset Animal Clinic. She is a graduate of Wellesley College, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and The Wharton School of Business.
As a significant sideline, she writes...a lot. Apart from her daily blog at Dolittler.com, she authors a weekly pet health column for The Miami Herald, a monthly column for Veterinary Practice News and serves as regular contributor to Veterinary Economics, The Bark and other occasional publications, in addition to her role as reporter for the Veterinary News Network.
Dr. Khuly's writing has won accolades from the veterinary community: her pet health blog (Dolittler) has been ranked one of the "Ten Best Blogs in Pet Health" by Fox News, she was voted one of the "25 People to Watch in 2008" by Pet Product News, and she recently received the Veterinary News Network's Rising Star Award for pet health reporting.
In her spare time, Dr. Khuly works as an animal shelter volunteer, serves as an officer for her local Veterinary Medical Association, and spends the rest of her time as an obsessive knitter, nerdy reader, nascent triathlete and indefatigable foodie. She lives in South Miami, FL with her son, Max, her French bulldogs, Vincent and Sophie Sue, her goats, Poppy and Tulip, and her emerging brood of soon-to-be-egg-laying chickens.
